He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Merritt and Abby Rockey Merritt; his brothers, Fred, Edward and Joseph Merritt; his wife Dorothy Lee Merritt; his sons, John Merritt (Kimberly) of Corry and Jim Merritt of Millcreek; his grandchildren, John Merritt (Alexis) and Michael Merritt; and his siblings, James Merritt (Maggie) of Millcreek and Gail Merritt of Millcreek. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
