He is survived by: his wife Darlene Marie MacKrell Newman (Majczyk); his children, Sandra Lee DeSalvo (Newman), John Edward Newman Jr., Bonnie Christina Newman and Tara Elizabeth Newman; his stepchildren, Stephen MacKrell and Asley Mello (MacKrell); his sister Catherine A. Barry; his stepsister Janelle Bennett (Newman); and his former wife Sandy Caruso.
