He was predeceased by: his parents, James O. Swaney and Victoria Swaney (Melena); his son Trevor M. Swaney; his granddaughter Anna Grace Bacallao; and his sister Helen Esposito.
He is survived by: his wife Linda J. Swaney (Smith); and his children, James K. Swaney (Wendy) of Fairview, Paul L. Swaney (Mary) of Erie, Sherri A. Bayer (Derek) of Pittsburgh, Shawn Swaney of Pittsburgh, Pam Bacallao (Andy) of Meadville and Mark Freeman (Dorie) of Virginia. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
