He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. and Mary L. Welka (Kalinowski); and his brothers, George Welka and Roger Sanford. He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Welka (Wolfe); his children, Karen R. Lentz (Brian) of Erie, Colleen A. Callahan (Regis) of Erie and John H. Welka (Tiffini) of Erie; his grandchildren, Jeramy, Jessica, Lucas, Jacob, Noah and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Winnie and Theodora; his brother Harry Welka (Susan); and his sister-in-law Donna Lee Welka. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Home & Crematory (845 E 38th St, Erie, PA 16504). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory (845 E 38th St, Erie, PA 16504).
