He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John J. Mraz and Janette Mraz (Harkins); his sisters, Jeannie Constable (Joseph) and Judy Avampato; and his brother-in-law Edward (Jeanine Seyboldt).

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Mraz (Heyl); his sons, James, Gregg (Lori), Mark and Matthew; his granddaughter Sara Grace; his siblings, Dr. John "Jack" Mraz and Joyce Mraz; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Avampato, Mary Kay Leonard (Al) and Jane Reuter (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. George Church or a charity of one's choice.
