With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Amos Nelson of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Hooper, Nebraska, who passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary L. Nelson (Amos) and Carl Nelson Sr.; his stepmother Ruth Nelson; and his siblings, Carl Jr. and Charlotte Cote (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Nelson; his children, Sandy Nagle, Cindy Sisto (John), Nancy Mates (Mike) and Bill (Joe); and his grandchildren, Christy (Jim), Andrea (Mike), Anne, Tom (Sara), Michael and Lucas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church.
