He was predeceased by: his parent Harry L.; his nephew Jeremy Hawthorne; and his friend Jake. He is survived by: his parent Audrey A. Brown Hawthorne; his children, Christopher J. Hawthorne (Victoria), Julie M. Hawthorne (Sal Palilla) and Leslie Hawthorne; and his siblings, Cindy Kendziora (John), Denise Hickin (Dennis), Lorie Hawthorne (Bill), Allen Hawthorne (Cindy), Dennis Hawthorne, William Hawthorne and Edward Hawthorne. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St., Erie, PA 16511.
