He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hess and Janet Neff Hess; his mother-in-law Mary Kohler; and his sister-in-law Cynthia Hess. He is survived by: his wife Kim Kohler Hess; his daughters, Shannon (JP) and Allison Hess (Braden); his siblings, Jeanne Chapman (Richard), Michael Hess, Erin Glover (Daniel), Leighann Hess and Timothy Hess (Veronica); and his siblings-in-law, Molly Kohler (Joe), Kathy Kurpiewski (Chris) and Terry Kohler (Lois). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
