With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frank Paul Rivas of Erie, Pennsylvania, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 27, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Rivas and Jennie Ferreiri Rivas; his daughter Diana Marchini; his siblings, Mary Rivas Cook and Vincent J. Rivas; his mother-in-law Edna Chrzanowski; his son-in-law Philip Wright; and his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Foster, Kenneth Herman, Marshall Chrzanowski, John Chrzanowski and George Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Chrzanowski Rivas; his children, Paul M. Rivas of Erie and Sandra Wright of Erie; his sister-in-law Rose Marie Herman of Erie; his grandchildren, Brooke Elizabeth Rivas of Spring Hill, TN and Stephanie Marie Goetz (Thomas) of Erie; and his great grandchildren, Emily Robie of Erie, Beau Robie of Erie and Austin Goetz of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge (3801 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16506). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (3325 W Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16505).
