He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Rivas and Jennie Ferreiri Rivas; his daughter Diana Marchini; his siblings, Mary Rivas Cook and Vincent J. Rivas; his mother-in-law Edna Chrzanowski; his son-in-law Philip Wright; and his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Foster, Kenneth Herman, Marshall Chrzanowski, John Chrzanowski and George Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Chrzanowski Rivas; his children, Paul M. Rivas of Erie and Sandra Wright of Erie; his sister-in-law Rose Marie Herman of Erie; his grandchildren, Brooke Elizabeth Rivas of Spring Hill, TN and Stephanie Marie Goetz (Thomas) of Erie; and his great grandchildren, Emily Robie of Erie, Beau Robie of Erie and Austin Goetz of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
