He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis J. Karle, Sr. and Virginia Karle (Straub); his grandson Jared Lupole; and his brother Albert F. "Al" Straub. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen A. Karle (Murphy); his children, Jennifer M. Karle, Elizabeth A. Lombardi (John) and Dr. Frank J. Karle III; his grandchildren, Tarah Karle (Richard DeWolf), Jacquelyn, Regan McLaughlin, Brandon Lupole and Kaylin Karle; and his sister Carol Dawley (Dennis). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory (1595 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508). A prayer will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Church (5145 Peach St, Erie, PA 16509).
