He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Hammerman and Catherine Schleicher Hammerman Sr.; his former wife Lucy Kanis; his wife Therese Jenks; and his siblings, William Hammerman Sr., Jesse Hammerman Jr. and Violet Hammerman Zewe.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Hammerman of Waterford, Pat Renninger (Bob) of Guys Mills and Mary Kay Zimmerley of Springboro, OH; his grandchildren, Katelyn Morrison (Cody) of Columbus, OH and Cody Zimmerley of Edinboro; and his great grandchild Zara Leigh Morrison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
