She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Slark and Callie Slark; her husband Felix Randy Friend; her former husband William Thomas Smith; and her daughter Mary Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Mann of Erie, Peggy Beerbower of Erie and Paul Friend (Ann) of East Springfield. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
