He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Edward and Doris Gundrum Brown; and his brother Robert H. Brown. He is survived by: his wife Karen Sherosky Brown; his children, David W. Brown (Alaina) of Erie and Lori L. Smith (Ben) of Elkhart, IN; and his sister Diane Hoganson of Erie. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
