He was predeceased by: his brother Carl Krigbaum; and his mother Viva Krigbaum. He is survived by: his wife Linda Fay Krigbaum (Krogstad); his children, Kimberly Smrcka and Dr. Michael Krigbaum (Anna Golladay); his grandchildren, Trevor Hamilton, Frank Smrcka, Grace Smrcka and Hannah Smrcka; and his father Everett Krigbaum. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
