He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mercer and Mary Burskey (Highley); his stepmother Geneva Mercer; his brothers, Bill, Chuck and Bobby Dale Mercer; his stepbrothers, Bobby and Jim Clark; his sister Betty Ann Oldaker; his sister-in-law Earleen Mercer; and his in-laws, James and Anna D'Aurora.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Mercer (D'Aurora); his daughter Melissa Hall (Greg); his grandsons, Tyler Gregory and Carter Dean Hall; his pet Max of Erie; his brothers, Rick Mercer and Joe Mercer (Debbie); and his brother-in-law Dencil Oldaker of New Cumberland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
