He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Jares and Elizabeth Jares (Cabaday); his siblings, Bonita and Tom; his nephew Christopher Stark; his nieces, Kelly and Erica Jares; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Smith and Wendy Jares.

He is survived by: his family, Susan Stark (Thomas), Jean Smith, Tim Jares (Gail), Mark Jares (Mary) and Scott Jares; and his friend Dot Merrit. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
