He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert O. Byers and Rita M. Murray Byers; and his sister Gretchen Byers. He is survived by: his wife Tracey Chandler Byers; his children, Ann Baker (Ed) of Virginia and Michael Byers (Kathy) of Florida; his grandchildren, Amber, Abigale, James, Eleanor, Erin and Paige; and his siblings, Sue Block (Mike) of Ohio, Chris Reinoehl of Florida, Tina Shimpeno (David) of Florida, Holly Byers of Florida, Scott Byers (Kathleen) of Washington and Erin Byers (Dierdre) of Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
