It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel A. Shade Sr. of Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Shade and Julia Shade (Fauver); and his siblings, Richard J. Shade, Mercedes Shade Kalata and Julia Shade.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie A. Shade Yori (Matthew) of Erie and Dr. Daniel A. Shade, Jr. (Jamie Super) of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Jack Shade (Elena) of Greenville, SC and Dr. Colette Yori Tobia (Frank) of Erie; his great grandchildren, Frankie of Erie and Matthew Tobia of Erie; and his brother Thomas E. Shade of Erie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. George Church (5145 Peach St, Erie, PA 16509). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
