He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Bendig and Helen Bendig (Popovich); and his son Clifford C. "Cliff" Bendig, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" Bendig (Chaffee); his daughter Leila Bendig; his children-in-law, Fred Salzer and Jessica Ross; his granddaughter Jennifer Bendig; and his great grandchildren, Alin of Erie, Alayna of Erie, Arianna of Erie and Mila of Erie.
