He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Irish and Ruth Smith Irish Miller; his wife Sylvia A. Madison-Nielson; his brothers, Donald, William and Robert; and his grandson Matthew Irish.
He is survived by: his stepfather Herbert Miller; his children, Robert Irish (Georgia) and Melinda Miller (John); his grandchildren, John Miller Jr. (Catie), Ryan Irish (Donna), David Miller (Emily) and Beth Cunningham (Sean); his great grandchildren, John Miller III, Isis, Athena, Vernon, Ella, Cian, Cora, Madison and Raylan; and his brothers, Gary Irish (Doris) and Jack Miller (Tara).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Cross, 5901 Millfair Rd., Fairview, PA 16415.
