He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Metzgar and Louise Gorecki Metzgar; his brother George Metzgar; his parents-in-law, James Simonelli and Rosa Simonelli; and his in-laws, Frank Simonelli, Teresa Simonelli, Fred Simonelli, Fred Sitzler and Leno Filippi.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Simonelli Metzgar; his children, Gary Metzgar (Sherri), Jeffrey Metzgar (Elizabeth), Diane Doane (Richard) and Marci Stitt (Eric); his grandchildren, Alyssa Angelovich (Steve), Rianna Wonderling (Sam), Daniel Metzgar, Mikayla Moffitt (Shawn), Natalie Metzgar, Tyler Stitt, Ryan Doane (Kate), Patrick Metzgar (Haley), Jonathan Metzgar, Sydney Stitt, Shawn Metzgar (Avery), Adrienne Metzgar, Whitney Metzgar, Kennedy Stitt, Ian Metzgar and Ellie Metzgar; his great grandchildren, Stephen, Hudson Angelovich, Alaina and Warren Wonderling; and his siblings-in-law, Lucille Sitzler, Olga Filippi, Kathy Simonelli, Theresa Simonelli, Audrey Metzgar and James Simonelli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
