Though Charles Hays may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles Hays touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles O. Gilbert and Charlotte Hays Gilbert; and his sister Irene Hillwig. He is survived by: his significant other Helen Graham; his sons, Keith (Kathy) of Erie, PA., Charles (Sheryl) of Palm Harbor, FL., Graham (Louise) of Indian Lake, NY. and Thomas (Jessica) of Deland, FL.; and his sister Eileen Bell. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge (3801 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16506). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
