She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Dale Cash, Sr. and Beulah G. Totten Gerken; her husband Joseph A. "Jack" Hess; her son Steven Burford; her stepmother Ruby Cash; and her son-in-law Chris Grippo.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Burford of Wesleyville, Bob Burford of Philadelphia, Denise Homchenko (Cliff) of Erie and Daphne Dahlia of Honesdale, PA; her grandchildren, Lisa Homchenko (Trevor Kaliszewski) and Lindsey Homchenko (Brandon Keith); and her siblings, Sandra Kay Myers of Erie, Mary Means (Dale) of Nitro, WV, Linda Jentz (Jack) of Eleanor, WV, Diane Kent (Andy) of Nitro, WV, Cathy Lewis (Danny) of Poca, WV, Cecil Dale Cash, Jr. (Jamie) of St. Albans, WV and James Cash (Missy) of Poca, WV. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
