Carl Thomas Brugger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Thomas Brugger (Erie, Pennsylvania), who passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Brugger and Alice Brugger (Martin); and his brother Gerald Brugger. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Karen Brugger (Hawk) of Naples, Fla.; his children, Sandra Cleary (Ed) of Naples, Fla., Carl Robert Brugger (Nicole) of Millcreek and Christine Polacci (Joel) of Los Angeles; his siblings, Monsignor Robert L. Brugger of Erie, David Brugger (Marcia) of Raleigh, N. C. and Ann Schoeller (Robert) of Erie; his grandchildren, Andrew Cleary (Madison), Brandon Cleary (Kayla), Jerred Polacci (Brianna), Jenna, Sarah and Emma Brugger; and his great grandchildren, E. J. Cleary and Korra Polacci. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory (1595 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16508). A prayer was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Jude the Apostle Church (2801 W 6th St, Erie, PA 16505).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
