He is survived by: his wife Barbara E.; his children, Mary J. Botto (Paul), Spurgeon S. "Scooter" Johns III (Ashley Keegan) and James A. Johns (My Hanh); and his brother Thomas Spurgeon. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren.
