He is survived by: his children, Peter D. Hoagland (Deborah), Jennifer L. Hoagland (Steven Weissman) and Jeanel Hoagland (Jonathan Drezner); and his siblings, Elnora Joy Gizzie and Richard Hoagland (Kathleen). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Confined to the house for most of 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19 and health issues, he became a connoisseur of good TV.
