He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elmer and Theresa Lerch (Schrammel). He is survived by: his spouse Beverly M. (Maurer); his children, Mark Lerch of Allentown, Gaye Wilson of Rhode Island, Florice Termini of Allentown, Jennie Falcone of Easton, David Mosella of Severn, MD and Matthew Lerch of Richland; and his siblings, Russel Lerch of Nazareth and Joanne Wellbrook of Las Vegas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
