He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Stuart and Mabel Elizabeth Groome (Seitz); his wife Joanne Adel (Ruffner); his sons, Kenneth and Keith; and his siblings, Don Groome and Jean Hornberger.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Jo (Don DeBord), Dale Groome (Vicki) and Randy Groome; his grandchildren, Jessica (Christopher Shalter), Kelsey (Josh Byrley), David Groome, Jenna Groome-Rex (Kristin) and Heather Groome; his great grandchildren, Audrey Jo Shalter, Everett Groome-Waltman and Cooper Groome-Rex; and his sister Pat Balsbaugh.
