He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard J. Kirchner and Edna M. Kirchner (Klaus); his mother-in-law Shirley; and his siblings, Charles and Gerry.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; and his children, Kathlynn M. Kirchner, Karen M. (Donald Thomas), Koleen M. (Larry Bowers), Richard J. Kirchner and Christopher M. (Crystal Kirchner). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
