She is survived by: her husband John G. Matthews; her children, Debra A. (late Daniel Hornberger) of Akron and James L. (Candy); her grandchildren, Rebecca Brewster, Curtis Matthews and Brian Matthews; and her great grandchildren, Maddox Shade, Judith Brewster and Stella Shade.
