He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Burkholder and Elizabeth Burkholder (Zimmerman); and his son Michael Burkholder. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Brenenan); his daughter Cindy (Martin J. Buckwalter) of Ephrata; his stepson Tim Brendle; his grandchildren, Melissa Wyniawskyj, Ryan Buckwalter and Sherry Messick; and his great grandchildren, Kaylie, Easton, Scott and Shawn.
