He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ervin and Mary Ervin (Wallin). He is survived by: his wife Margaret D. Ervin (Devaney); his children, Joseph M. Ervin III (Darlene Ervin), Christopher J. Ervin, Stephanie E. Scheifley (James Scheifley) and Andrew Charles Ervin (Elivi Varga); his grandsons, Alex Ervin and John Leonardo (Kathryn Mazeski); his stepgrandchildren, Leonard Giordano, Emma Giordano and Logan Scheifley; and his siblings, Kathleen Komar, Marie Flick (Bill Flick) and Raymond Ervin (Cheryl Ervin). He is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help (320 Church Ave, Ephrata, PA 17522). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's memory may be made to Our Mother of Perpetual Help or Saint Joseph's University, 5600 City Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19131.
