She was predeceased by: her sons, Kenneth and Keith; and her siblings, Shirley Montrose and Bob Ruffner. She is survived by: her husband Robert S. Groome; her children, Kathy Jo (Don DeBord), Dale Groome (Vicki) of Red Lion and Randy Groome (Monica) of Ephrata; her grandchildren, Jessica (Christopher Shalter), Kelsey (Josh Byrley), David Groome, Jenna Groome-Rex (Kristin) and Heather Groome; her great grandchildren, Audrey Jo Shalter, Everett Groome-Waltman and Cooper Groome-Rex; and her brother Jerry Ruffner.
