He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent T. Harter and Anna Harter (Haage); his wife Eleanor C. Harter (Wink); and his siblings, Shirley Beisswanger and Thomas Harter.
He is survived by: his children, Debra (Paul Naffin) of Ephrata, James R. (Carolyn), Patricia (Ronald Moyer) of Brownstown, Diane Mozeliak (Harter) of Ephrata and Peggy (Lester Wise) of Denver; and his sister Pat Shimp. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a great grandson the way & one great-great granddaughter.
