He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank M. Hurst and Esther K. Hurst (Burkholder); his wife Mary O. Hurst (Martin); his granddaughter Roseanne Hurst; and his siblings, Lizzie, David, John, Noah, Paul, Frank, Emma, Katie, Lydia, Mary, Esther and Alta.
He is survived by: his children, Frank M. (Anna Susan), Esther M. (Myron R. Nolt) of Lititz, Ivan M. Husband (Weaver) of Sarah Jane, John M. (Miriam S.), Earl M. (Eunice B.) and Marlene M. (Randy Z. Shirk) of Denver; and his brother-in-law John K. Martin. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 99 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center (352 Martindale Rd, Ephrata, PA 17522). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 28th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Martindale Mennonite Church (905 Martindale Rd, Ephrata, PA 17522).
