It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fannie Shirk of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl W. Horst and Mary Horst (Rhodes); her husband Eli S. Shirk; her stepsons, Elam Z. and Joseph Z. Shirk; her stepson-in-law Melvin H. Burkholder; and her siblings, Mark R., Alfred F. Horst, Naomi and Priscilla Horst.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary H. Shirk of Ephrata; her stepchildren, Lizzie of Ephrata, Eli Z. (Erma Shirk) of Ephrata, Emma Z. Shirk of Ephrata, Katie Z. Shirk of Ephrata, Ammon Z. (Anna Mae Shirk) of Ephrata, Daniel Z. (Alma Shirk) of New Holland, Ivan Z. (Lydia Shirk) of Shippensburg, Wayne Z. (Susan Shirk) of Shippensburg, Moses Z. (Ella Mae Shirk) of Shippensburg and Noah Z. (Lucy Shirk) of Ephrata; her stepdaughters-in-law, Alma Z. Shirk of Ephrata and Martha Z. Shirk of Lititz; and her siblings, Nathan F. Horst of Belleville, NJ and Betty Horst of Dayton, VA.. She is also survived by 80 step grandchildren; 346 step great-grandchildren; 87 step great-great-grandchildren.
