He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Horst and Ada Horst (Sensenig); and his brother Clarence S. Horst. He is survived by: his wife Etta M. Horst (Burkholder); his children, Ronald Dean Horst, Wilma Jean Weaver (Keith), Mark Lee Horst (Rosalie Weaver), Janet Marie Weaver (Timothy), Jay Ervin Horst (Lisa Jane High) and Mary Beth Brubaker (Arlyn S.); and his siblings, Minerva Zimmerman (Earl) of Memphis, MO, Alvin S. Horst (Esther Zimmerman), Esther Mae Zimmerman (Aaron W.), Norman S. Horst (Elizabeth H. Reiff), Marion S. Hoover (Earl M.), Louella S. Fox (Norman H.), Nelson S. Horst (Laura Z. Horst), Clair S. Horst (Lorene Z. Shirk), Mary Ann Eby (Ezra) and A. Arlene Sauder (Elam R.). He is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
