With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest R. Hartranft of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernest R. Hartranft to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest G. Hartranft and Hilda Hartranft (Gable); and his stepson John Oberly. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hartranft (Gerhart); his daughters, Connie Procopio, Julie Hartenbach (Ralph) and Sherrie Basehore (Andy Tokach); his stepchildren, Edwin Oberly (Lynda), Robert Oberly (Sandy) and Lisa Guiles (John Grissinger); and his brothers, Dennis Hartranft and Craig Hartranft. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Ernie's memory may be made to his church First United Methodist Church.
