He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. Rutt and Lydia M. Rutt (Burkholder); his wife Joann Rutt (Martin); his daughter Virginia M. Zimmerman (Rutt); and his siblings, Anna B. Zimmerman, Ervin B. Rutt, Alverta B. Burkholder and Earl B. Rutt.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth L. (Marilyn H.), Norma Jean (Arnold H. Hahn) of Middleburg, Marlin R. (Jeanette H.), Stanley D. (Ilene B.), Michael L. Rutt of Ephrata, Beth L (Linford Musser) of Myerstown and Diane R. (Linford Wenger) of Leola; his son-in-law Aaron R. Zimmerman; and his sisters, Leah B. (Clair Zimmerman) of Ephrata, Luella B. (Glenn Zimmerman) of Lebanon, Frances B. (Phares Musser) of Newmanstown and Marlene B. (late Marlin Martin) of Myerstown. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
