He was predeceased by: his parents, Phares W. Hurst and Anna Mae Hurst (Snyder); his brothers, Lester and Phares, Jr.; his brother-in-law Melvin Martin; his grandson Ethan Hurst; and his great grandchild Bentley Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Hurst (Martin); his children, Daryl R. Hurst (Christine Martin) of Red Creek, NY, Jerry M. Hurst (Joanna Martin), Linford M. Hurst (Anita Sensenig) of Warrensburg, MO and Rose Ann (Richard S. Weaver); his siblings, Marvin Hurst (Ada Shirk) of Savannah, NY, Raymond Hurst (Lois Good), Denver, Aaron Hurst (Janice Weaver), Arlene Martin of Seneca Falls, NY and Edna Mae (Clair High); and his sister-in-law Martha Jane (Elam Weaver). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Rd., Ephrata, on Thursday, June 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
