With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris L. Legates of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, born in Delmar, Delaware, who passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Brittingham and Mary E. Lewis Brittingham; and her brother Bruce Brittingham. She is survived by: her husband John H. Legates, Jr.; her sons, Everett "Bunky" LeCates (Genece) and James LeCates (Stacy); and her brothers, James Brittingham (Shirley), Louis Brittingham (Billie), William Brittingham (Becky) and Alvin Brittingham (Judy). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
