He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gehman and Barbara Gehman. He is survived by: his wife Erma M. Gehman; his children, Barry Gehman (Gail), Jeffrey Gehman (Tina) and Tracy Matroni (Jeffrey Smith) of Ephrata; and his siblings, Arlene High (Jacob High) of Mifflintown, Esther Martin (Lloyd Martin) of Broad Top and John H. Gehman (Nancy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
