He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hoover and Minerva Knable (Noll); his daughter Michelle M. Hoover; his daughter-in-law Mabel Hoover; and his brothers, Wilbur E., Kenneth W., Lester J. and Parke J. Hoover.
He is survived by: his wife Bertha E. Hoover; his son Michael S. Hoover of Leola; his grandchildren, Jessica (late Robert Y. Yeingst) and Ryan (Stefany Hoover); and his great grandchild Alexis Yeingst.
