He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome E. and Valerian Wittle Sr. (Still); his son Jerome Wittle III; his grandson Benjamin Houck; his nephew Kevin Stago Sr.; and his son-in-law Joseph McCartney.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sister Jeannette Walters of Mechanicsburg; his daughters, Wendy Houck (Timothy) of Enola, Brenda McCartney of Landisburg and Jennifer Myers of Enola; his grandchildren, Alex Hoffman, Kelly McCartney, Eric Miller (Lindsay), Daniel Houck and John Myers Jr.; and his daughter Jena Myers.
