He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Margie" Mary Swanger (Fantine); his children, Wayne Herman Swanger (Mary) of Clarion, William Hazzard of Harrisburg, Don Hazzard (Mary Ann) of Shemans Dale, Darlene Schwartz of York, Teresa Nolt (Jeffrey) of Coudersport, Mary Hazzard (William Jones) of Slatington and Barbara Hazzard (Kim Bricker) of Shermans Dale; and his grandchildren, Neal Swanger, Michael Nolt, Luke Swanger, Nicholas Hazzard, Jordan Hazzard, Tricia Stump, Vivian, Rebekah Nolt, Jack Chataginer, Emile Swanger, Lydia Stump, Elizabeth "Ellie" Stump, Grace Chataginer, Gabriella Chataginer, Emma Chataginer, Don Swanger, Gerald Swanger, John Swanger, Richard "Dick" Swanger, Dale Swanger, Janet Derrick and Wayne.
