He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara J. Ken and Charles E. McPherson Jr. Ken. He is survived by: his wife Edythe E. McPherson (Neff); and his children, Kenneth R. McPherson Jr. (Annie) of Lemoyne, Mark A. McPherson (Kris) of Harrisburg, David S. McPherson (Andrea) of Harrisburg and Sandra K. Herman (Adam) of Enola. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
