He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carole; his children, Melissa Heikel Welker (Rob), Heidi Heikel Keim (Craig), James Heikel (Nikki) and Amy Heikel White (Greg); and his siblings, Ruth Sgrignoli (Rodger), Helen Harbold (Ron), Evelyn Brubacher, Danny Heikel (Rose), Jack Heikel (Kathy), Kate Haley and Chet Heikel. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the local Alzheimer's Association at 2595 Interstate Drive Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
