He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Zearing and Elizabeth A. Zearing; and his daughter Nicole Zearing. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia D. Zearing; his daughters, Tiffany M. Sutton (Mark Sutton) and Sara E. Zearing (Cory Shaub); and his grandchildren, Miles A. Kline, Colson J. Shaub and Logan Sutton.
