He is survived by: his wife Shirley E. Lushbaugh; his children, Loretta J. Rutz Montgomery (Emporium), Diane C. Hostetler (Emporium), Dorothy Ann Hastings (Emporium), Sheryl Pifer (Rock), William C. Rutz and Leslie "John" Rutz (Angela D. Catalano); his granddaughter Alicia M. Berry; and his sisters, Bessie Roberts and Loretta J. Farren. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
