With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice L. Kowell of Emporium, Pennsylvania, born in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 17, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Broker and Ruby Hess Broker; her husband Austin "Augie" Kowell; her daughter Kim Hallowell; and her brothers, Donald and Paul Gene Broker.
She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Kowell; and her son-in-law David "Bucket" Hallowell. She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Barnett Funeral Home (207 E 4th St, Emporium, PA 15834). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
